Jennifer was born and
raised in small-town Mississippi. She enjoyed the small town atmosphere and the
advantages it brings as well as the advantage of living close to metropolitan
areas like New Orleans. She is the third of four children. Her older brother
and sister were away from home when she was born, so she had the “only child”
experience for three years before the birth of her younger brother. Her older
siblings have always been her role models for accomplishment. Her family has
always encouraged her to follow her dreams and strive to do her best in every
endeavor.
She graduated from Oak
Grove High School as an honor graduate. She went on to attend college at the
University of Southern Mississippi in her home town of Hattiesburg. In May,
2004 she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in speech communication with
honors. While at the university, she was a member of Delta, Delta, Delta
Sorority, Lambda Pi Eta Honor Society, Golden Key International Honor Society,
and the Speech Communication Association.
Music has always been an
important part of Jennifer’s life. She began piano lessons at the age of six
and continued for fourteen years. She became an accomplished pianist and has
received many competition awards during these years. She also found time to
study dance, violin, and gymnastics. She was on the dance team during high
school.
Jennifer’s family life, her
education, and her experiences have given her the capacity to care deeply for
others, a strong character, the ability to be a forceful and articulate
communicator, and the skills to be a caring, accomplished and productive woman
in today’s world.
