America’s Junior Miss is a scholarship
program for high school senior girls. Judging is based on scholarship,
interview, physical fitness, creative and performing arts, and presence and
composure. Representatives from each state meet in Mobile, Alabama each summer
for the selection of America’s Junior Miss.

In 1998, Jennifer participated in the Lamar
County Junior Miss program. After winning on the local level, she went on to
compete in Meridian, Mississippi at the Mississippi Junior Miss Program. After
a wonderful week with girls from around the state of Mississippi, she was named
Mississippi’s Junior Miss. Her experience in Mobile at the America’s Junior
Miss Program was an experience of a lifetime for a recent high school graduate.
Making friends from every state and participating in a nationally televised
program were just a few of the experiences she cherishes from that event. She
was a preliminary winner in Creative and Performing arts and went on to be named
the Overall Non-finalist Creative and Performing Arts winner on the national
telecast.
